I received my call to serve in the Washington DC North Mission on August 18, 2011, and entered the Provo MTC on September 12. It was such a fun, spiritual experience, one that I will never forget. We stayed at a suite at the Marriott Hotel and were treated like royalty by the junior missionaries. We met so many senior couples from all over the country who were going to the four corners of the world. It was so fun to mingle with all of the missionaries, junior and senior, during the dinner breaks to learn all about them, where they were from and where they are going.
My companion, Sister Jean Harper, from Phoenix, Arizona. We met on the phone and through facebook before entering the MTC, and I was even fortunate enough to have her attend when I was set apart as a missionary. President Sohm said that this was definately a first for him!
